Grimsby Main Floor Renovation

Main Floor & Kitchen Renovation in Grimsby: A Complete Transformation

When Dave and Patty were ready to update their main floor and create the kitchen of their dreams, they reached out to Mitchell Contracting to bring their vision to life. This Grimsby main floor renovation combined thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and seamless collaboration with trusted local partners.

Designing a Modern, Functional Kitchen & Main Floor Layout

Our clients worked closely with Interior Designer Laurie from Sprague Interiors, who developed a cohesive design plan for the entire space — from the kitchen layout and cabinetry selections to paint colours, window treatments, and finishes. With a clear design direction in place, the Mitchell Contracting team got to work.

From Demo to Rebuild: Bringing the New Space to Life

Once the main floor was fully demoed, our crew began updating the essential systems, including plumbing and electrical. From there, the renovation moved into the rebuilding phase: Drywall installation, new flooring throughout the main floor, window upgrades for improved energy efficiency and natural light, custom trim work to enhance the overall aesthetic.

We collaborated with Mission Custom Cabinetry and Sprague Interiors to ensure every detail of the kitchen renovation aligned with the homeowners’ vision.

A Stunning, Functional Kitchen Designed for Everyday Living

With the renovation complete, Dave and Patty now enjoy a show-stopping kitchen and beautifully updated main floor that feels fresh, cohesive, and custom to their lifestyle. From the craftsmanship of the cabinetry to the flow of the new layout, every element was designed with purpose and executed with care.

This project highlights how a well-planned kitchen remodel and main floor renovation in Grimsby can dramatically improve both the look and functionality of a home. Working alongside talented designers and subcontractors, the Mitchell Contracting team ensured a smooth process and a top-quality finish.

We first met Brendan Mitchell when we went out to tender a total home remodel of our cherished 200 year old home in Old Town Niagara on the Lake...Brendan stood out from the other contractors almost immediately. When we met he took the time to inspect the house in depth and address any questions we had. Brendan’s interest and attention to detail was notable. We could tell he was sincere and had a real passion for his profession...Brendan was incredible to work with...We worked with Brendan and his team everyday over a 10 month period and never had any negative issues which is really saying something given the complexity of our project. He is a super talent. We highly recommend Mitchell Contracting.

We recently had our basement renovated, and we couldn't be happier with the results! Brendan Mitchell and his team were professional, detail-oriented, and incredibly skilled. They transformed our basement into a beautiful, functional living space that exceeded our expectations. The egress window installation was seamless. Mitchell Contracting ensured everything was up to code and provided thoughtful recommendations throughout the project. From start to finish, communication was excellent. We highly recommend Mitchell Contracting for anyone looking for high-quality work and a stress-free renovation experience. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

We hired Mitchell Contracting for an addition to our home, and to renovate an existing bathroom. Brendan was fantastic from start to finish. We had to change plans and he walked us through everything thoroughly and took care of all the city permitting (which was a huge bonus!). His quote and timelines were accurate and detailed. A big renovation can be stressful and his team did everything they could to make it as easy as possible for us. Once construction began his team was always professional, detail oriented, and left the workspace immaculate. Brendan and his team were able to turn our starter home into our forever home and we are so grateful and lucky! We will absolutely use them for any future renovations, and I highly recommend his services.

In March of 2020, we had a 1600 sq ft high, dry, and empty basement that we wanted transformed into a family gathering space, complete with kitchen, bath, and 2 bedrooms. Brendan started out with a blank page, and since we already had our design plan, he literally brought our plans to life! From the flooring to the tile to the custom cabinetry, to the specific drywall finishes we wanted.... the Mitchell Contracting team exceeded our expectations, which is pretty difficult, as we are particular.. The team was on time, clean, and communicate very well through each step. We highly recommend Mitchell Contracting to everyone we know. You will not be disappointed.

I hired Mitchell Contracting to renovate my bathroom, replace all of my windows and back door and I could not be happier with the results! Brendan is not only genuinely kind but is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of his work. He was very quick with all communication and was happy to make any adjustments so that everything was just as I imagined. Ryan and Dale did the bulk of the work on my bathroom - their attention to detail speaks for itself when you look at the tile work they completed. I would recommend Brendan and his team without hesitation, thank you for everything!

We recently had a 450 sq. ft. home addition completed by Mitchell Contracting and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The craftsmanship was exceptional — every detail was done with precision and care. The team kept the workspace remarkably clean throughout the entire project, which made a big difference for us since we lived here during the construction phase. Their communication was better than we ever expected — we were always kept in the loop and any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly. On top of all that, the pricing was very fair for the quality of work we received. Mitchell Contracting delivered a seamless, professional experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!
